Years ago, when Marti Nunn had breast cancer surgery and chemo, the little mountain farm owned by Marti and her husband became much more to them than a second home.

 

Its serene vistas, big whitewater creek and mountain pastures dotted with horses provided an amazing energy-filled environment for recovery. It was something she wanted to share with others going through a similar cancer experience.  

 

That vision came to life in 2009, and continues to give patients and caregivers a much-needed break from the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of cancer.

Second Wind Retreat, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit public charity that supports the operation and maintenance of the Retreat cottage. Provided free of charge to cancer patients and recent survivors, the Retreat is supported by volunteers and donations. 

 

Since Second Wind has no paid employees, 100% of all financial donations goes directly to the operation and maintenance of the Retreat.
